ANZAC Day and Wardrobe Wednesday.....

Thinking of all our fallen soldiers today, and how they fought for us. My Brother in law is off to East Timor shortly, and I have been thinking a lot lately about the brave soldiers that fought so hard for our country, bless them all and their families.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them

Lest we forget.....

  3. Lovely combinations as always. I like how you let your jewellery have room to speak.

  4. Oh I think its so great that you chose classic colours and cuts so your statement jewellery does all the talking. (Oh whoops - that's what Miriam said!)

I always think of my grandfather's today. Both have passed away, but I remember snippets of war stories, overheard as a child. What is poignant is what they left unsaid. The Laurence Bingon poem is so moving
